Funded through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, The Employment and Education Centre was recently granted license to replicate WoodGreen Community Services’ (Toronto) Homeward Bound program for single mothers and their children
By investing in Homeward Bound Brockville you can ensure vulnerable women living on insufficient income supports are given the opportunity to move themselves and their children out of poverty.
Established in 2004 by WoodGreen, Homeward Bound is a transformational, coordinated service delivery model that brings together the key supports families need to become economically self-sufficient. Supports include personal development and life skills, recreational services for children, training and post-secondary education in a marketable skill, and an opportunity to obtain a family-sustaining career at the end of the program. The program emphasizes stabilizing the family while preparing the mother academically and emotionally for school and employment success.
Although we have received Ontario Trillium Funding, Homeward Bound Brockville is reliant on community and corporate contributions to ensure we can provide a fresh start to single women and their children and build healthier, stronger communities for all.
Receipts will be issued for donations of $20.00 or more
